About

Built by someone who's done the shifts.

The story behind Scribe, and the company that makes it.

Why Scribe exists

Sparks Scribe is an Australian admin platform built specifically for independent disability support workers. Not agencies, not enterprise providers. The sole traders who left the agency for freedom and better pay, then discovered the second job nobody mentioned: notes at 9pm, invoices on Sunday, and records scattered across paper, photos and spreadsheets.

Scribe puts the whole lot in one calm place. Shift notes typed or spoken and professionally formatted, invoices with the right NDIS codes and rates applied automatically, client records, scheduling, service agreements and Xero sync, all from your phone.

The founder

Scribe was founded by Kim Matthews, who owns two support providers and is mum to three children accessing the NDIS. Kim has run support services, managed her own support team as a participant family, and listened to support workers say the same thing for years: the work is the easy part, the admin is what burns you out. She built the thing they kept asking for.

Our mission

To reduce the administrative burden on disability support workers, so more of their time goes where it matters most: providing quality support to the people they work with.
