What every NDIS invoice needs
Plan managers pay faster when the invoice has everything they need to claim:
- Your details and ABN. Your name or business name, your ABN, and your payment details.
- Who it is going to. The participant, or their plan manager, with the details they gave you.
- Invoice number and date. A unique number and the date you issued it.
- The support item code. The NDIS support item code and description, for example 01_011_0107_1_1. This tells the plan manager what to claim.
- Dates, hours and rate. When you worked, how many hours, and your rate for the day and time.
- GST. Most NDIS supports delivered to a participant are GST-free, so many sole trader support workers do not add GST. Whether GST applies can depend on your registration and the support, so confirm your situation with your accountant or the ATO.
